True...thats what I had to tell myself...no more aesthics...need power! If you need advice on window tinting in the area, I would suggest Formula One dealers. Thats what I got for my car and they have certified installers and a great product. I did alot of research and I am very happy with mine. They are a bit expensive but I always say "you get what you pay for" (Well unless you get a deal) Heres the website: http://www.formulaone.com I'm not sure where the closest on is though? Anyways Nice ride! Later, Justin Originally posted by JVT: Thanks guys...
Dan - exhaust will get louder when either BTR or MSDS headers go on. Didn't weigh the wheels, but they're 19.8lbs by themselves.
Dan II - I'll upload the bigger size pics tonight.
Kai - tires are 215/45-17 Kumhos.
TheGreatOne - I wanted to hose down the car before just to see how it would look. It was mostly for $hits and giggles than anything else.
Justin - I still like the Konigs, but methinks these look even better from a 3/4 view. Plus they're lighter. Sail panels will go on eventually, but I can't see myself spending $100 on those right now. The rear bumper I thought about, but again, can't see myself spending more money on cosmetic mods at this time. I've got some other stuff I need to get. (BADLY needing window tint, and some regular maintenance)

Sweet car man...paint the lower grill! I like what you did with the SVT on the grill...I may have to look into that.
How do you like the Kumho's as far as handling and ride quality? I would really like to know as I am trying to decide which tire to buy and save money too.

Justin, thanks for the heads up on the Formula One. I know Lars from the SE-CEG got his windows tinted by a F1 dealer and was happy with the results. There is a place in town that does a good job too, for about $100 less than a F1 dealer. --- www.lightningmikes.com I talked to the owner, and he seemed to know what he was talking about. Does all the cars for the Carolina Panthers players. John

MystiCali, I'm actually pretty happy with the Kumhos. It's not the greatest tire in the world, but for the money, I couldn't ask for anything more. They're very quiet, and have decent grip in wet and dry. Plus they look cool. John

Wow! Wish there were places like that here in Raleigh! Raleigh SUCKS... J/K But Charlotte does rule! I will probably end up living there when I gradiate! (I know I spelled it wrong) It looks like a good place...especially if they do all the panters cars. I like the IS300's tint...maybe just a hair lighter though! Later, Justin

Actually, Charlotte sucks too. Even more than Raleigh. NOTHING to do here. Don't get your hopes up.

LOVE the car! One of my favorite contours.
I have a couple questions: 1. What paint did you use and where did you get it? (a part #, name would be great!) Also is it a matte/flat silver or a shiny/chrome silver? 2. How did you fill the holes behind the emblem? 3. How many coats of primer/paint/clearcoat/etc/ did you use (or not use) and how did you apply it? 4. Finally, what paint did you use on the SVT emblem and how was it applied?
I must say the grill is very creative and unique, a GREAT idea.
