The other problem your going to have is how it looks. The Contour has an extra styling stripe at the bottom which the Mondeo doesn't have. I think you could fill it in with Bondo but that would add at least 30 Lbs to the car all the way around.

I'm sure that it can be done, but at the same time why not find a German Hatchback Shell and bring it over. You'd have a very unique car that way.

In my book, if there's enough money and motivation involved.. Anything is possible.. There's nothing that can't be accomplished.

Contour-
Groove around the entire car; front and rear bumpers, doors, rear qtrs, and a little on the front fender. Reffering to the area just below the door ding location.

Mondeo-
No Groove at all

Add the fenders and it will stand out like a sore thumb. And there is a chance the front doors wont open or close (far fetched). Even if that problem is eliminated, the fact remains that this indention, or dare I say "contour" is still in your doors and rear bumper. Just wont look right with a smooth front bumper. And I hope you never get into a wreck and need to replace that Mondeo front cover, headlights, etc.

Your intention is good. If it was a simple bolt-on, I would have done it long ago. Hell, I even paid good money for Mondeo white-faced gauge covers well before Brad Noon started making them. Wanna guess the shipping charge on those bad boys from overseas? Came in a 8x12 envelope.... Can't imagine what most of a front clip would cost.... Yikes!

You haven't made anyone mad. We've just seen this answered before and are trying to let you know. It's not that it couldn't be done but that it would be very hard and require bothe the resources and determination to do it. If you want to start call Bill Jenkins since he can get Euro Parts now and see what he says. All you need to really see if it can be done is a fender since everything else has pretty much been tried. If that works then go for the Hood, Lights, Grill and Bumper. You know what they say if you want something done...

P.S. Like I said before "Contour" Below the door ding can be Bondoed out.

i've never seen nor heard evidence of this.
I'd be surprised if the fenders didn't bolt up. same with the core support.
that solves the headlight fitment problem.
the bumpers i think could be easy as you could just take the 'tour brackets and fit them to the mondeo bumper or vice versa.
that may have some welding involved but it's all concealed, so it's all good.

i'm just talking out of my a$$ here... since i've only seen reports of trying the headlights. OR the bumper. not all in one go.
i want to do that PURELY for the H4 headlights. I have 9005 bulbs and man my lights STILL suck!

In your dreams if you think it's that simple. (re: bumper)

IF it *WAS* that simple, I would have had one about a year ago.

Using SVT bumper brackets won't work, and the bumper doesn't align with the side fenders.

Feel free to try, NFS UK will sell you a ST200 front end for $650 shipped to a seaport.
