I agree with Craig... the whole bit about applying the word "rice" to anything that people don't like has frankly just gotten on my nerves a bit. It just seems like a desperate reach by people who can't think of any other word to describe something they don't like and to deal a low blow to others in anger... why do we have to hate so much and try to insult people all the time? On the drag strip, we used to tag cars as rice burners because they came from a country where rice is produced in abundance, but it was not because it was ugly or tacky. Show me a stock Honda Accord and I will call it a ricer. Show me a good looking modded out Honda Civic SI.... ricer. Show me someone with an American Sports car with a 4 foot tall spoiler... I call that person brave. Calling a Mustang with a body kit that looks like it came off of a Honda a ricer is much like taking a T-Bone steak and putting sweet and sour sauce on it and calling it Chinese food..... you can, but it just doesn't make that much sense, when all you were really trying to call it is bad taste or ruined. Besides, when is the last time you have purchased a car where every single part has not had "made in Japan" stamped on it? If Japanese additions to cars make them rice, then all of us Contour owners are guilty as charged. Mystikal, when I see people who are guilty of the above 2 charges, I see nothing more than someone who was in haste to modify their car before they got all the money to finish it and make it look right, and impatient is more of a proper charge than rice. Just my 2 cents worth.
