Ford offered in '97 only a GTS aesthetics package for the Probe GT. The package primarily consisted of vinyl racing stripes. I turned the option down but have seen them around. Your stripes and the quality of installation (good photos do wonders) could fool people into thinking they are factory.

A true enthusiest you are,

Thanks for calling me a "true enthusiest" because I really am. I like everything from the M3's and M5's to the 1965 Buick Riveria GS, I'm into cars up to my eyeballs. Also I picked the color and the size of the stripes so that they would look factory, nice observation on your part, you too are a real enthusiest as well!

I think it actually fits the car. Unlike many cars that have racing stripes and have no performance to back it up. Adds some "attitude" to the appearance and looks like a high quality job. To each his own. Looks good!

Well, I hate to be the first to give you a bit of negative response but: IMO stripes ONLY work when they come as normally as a factory paint scheme. AKA Vipers etc. Or of course on muscle cars from the 60's and 70's. However, it looks like it was well done.
