Except of course that the UK Zetec has an Aluminium head, Dont need a bigger radiator (I added an oil cooler), I dont have A/C, Uprated brakes were actually lighter and my alloys are a lot lighter than the standard Steel wheels. In UK spec the difference in weight is higher as we have fewer Luxury items on the car.

I'm already at 200bhp and below 1200Kg (2640Lbs), All the upgraded suspension and brakes are done to SVT standard or above (most are actually lighter than stock). When I get really concerned I'll empty all the tools and Caving (Spelunking for the US) stuff out the boot/trunk where it normally lives. That should be good for at least 300Lbs

Have a look at my websight for photo's and details of mods

"Except of course that the UK Zetec has an Aluminium head"

They all have an aluminum head, iron block.
Your car sounds nice and at 2640lbs Im sure its fast too. I'm amazed it is so light. The wts Ive seen for US zetecs is about 2750 (base) and up - easy to hit 2850 with some options.
