Ok, only one more question. I got the shift knob and put it on today. How did you get the top part of the plastic to be flush with the knob? I'm thinking of taking out the reverse lockout and getting rid of the spring. That way you can grip it right and not have that thick plastic in the way. Of course, I would need to clean the grease off of the shifter.

So are they ribbed or do they look just like rubber tubing. Thanksf or the info.

ribbed.

klavender, I just left mine the way it was. You can't really see anything, but I can see how it would bug you. I guess I'm just used to it.
