I coated them with a Hi-temp header coating thats supposed to withstand 2000 degrees. I hoping the black will stay a little cleaner than the white that they normally come in.

Pretty slick looking, though, i would personally wrap them with thermal fabric and spray them with silver thermal paint.....

I can't

Wrapping the MSDS headers would void the MSDS warrenty. I never bothered to ask why...

when you rap headers it really cuts back on the heat in the engine bay ,,right? now were do you think that heat go's, it stays in the header, raping you headers is like raping a baked potato in foil .... when you wrap the headers it super heats the header and weakens the metal ,thus the header doesn't last nearly as long as it should. thats why it voids the MSDS warrenty

I can read your mind , and you should be ashamed of yourself:p

Dude!, I met Thida. Dave has no reason to rape a baked potato wrapped in foil!!!!!

IIRC header wraps can also trap moisture increasing rot.

Yes, but it does help the engine run better, it seems to be more of an old fashioned trick though. My dad's 74 MGB has it done, and miracle of miracles the MG passed its final (fingers crossed) SMOG. Do any of you have any idea how hard it is to make the old British cars pass the SMOG.......

Its cost us a fortune and taken alot of time and effort.... I cant tell you how many times my dad and i have completely rebuilt that bloody engine.
Love having proffesional engine hoist and stand.....Damn i got carried away. sorry:-)
