man am i more and more jealous of the mondeo all the time, recirculating fan switch, seat heaters, TC, H4 headlights, the list goes on and on! 
Don't feel bad, I may have the wiring, but the TC light doesn't ever come on for me either ("at boot up", you DO go to RPI! :p ). And I am equally as jealous of the Mondeo's. The content is maddeningly superior. I mean, ****, who ELSE has elextric blue gauges?! That frickin' rocks! I'd forego the heated seats and other luxo-items for some of the aesthetic coolness that the mondeos have (headlights for example, as you mentioned). *****ing will get me nowhere as the Contours are cancelled anyway!
