Still waiting for the return of my tour w/new motor,but another problem has arisen. My wife's 99 SE has all of a sudden gotten a "sore" . The dash and front defog panel,just above pass. airbag,has started to "up-turn" towards the windshield. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen. I believe the o.n.p. has stated that the problem was with the acrylic over the inst. panel,but is this another possibility w/the fix? I would apprecite any input from anyone. I believe it will end up at the dealer for the fix,but before I go,I was just looking for any extra info. Thanx, L.B.

Yes, many '99 owners, myself included have been subjected to the dreaded "dash pad separation". The good news is that Ford is providing a "no charge" repair service. Customer satisfaction program number 01B78.
The program will be in effect until 8/31/02
regardless of mileage. I have heard of some
dealers "repairing", and others replacing. I have not taken mine in yet, but I'm wanting
a replacement myself. If you need more details,
I could fax you a copy of the letter Ford sent out, or meet you some place with a copy.
Basically, all they want you to do is call your dealer with your vin#, ask for a service
date, and see if parts are in stock for above
mentioned program number.

Thanx for the info. scooby.I was at the dealer today to check on my tour(still waiting on new motor to come in)and discussed the problem w/him. They put the kits on backorder,said they would probably be in when my motor work is done. I would still appreciate the fax from you though,send it ATTN. Lenny @I.S.I. (216)831-2516. i also will fix it for 10$. al you have to do is bring it to me n ill fix it. but no guarantees on work quality(might pop back out). but yeah my 99 svt does the same thing i push it down than like next POP back up! sorry but im gonna sell soon guys
