BRIAN!!!!! Hey man give me a call when you get back into town!! The only reason that I didn't install that type of resistor is because the most gains are found at that resistance... And you want to have variable resistance so the computer doesn't see one value all the time... It will eventually set the CEL sooner or later.. The engine control knows that as the engine warms up the air temp will also... Thus this idea and keeping the air temp sensor intact and functioning.. You could install a 10k ohm resistor.. but that's too much resistance and it makes the computer think it's almost 50 degrees lower air temp than actual... Which will lead to problems when it gets cold again and the computer is going hella rich because it thinks it's -20F when actually it's 30F... So thats the theory..lol
