OK, as some of you may know I'm having some "issues" with my 98 SE. Despite this, I would consider getting a new SVT with warranty. I've heard rumors that some are still lurking around at dealerships out there and I'd consider driving a couple hours for one. So...my question is, how can I find out which dealers have any of these left in like a 3-4 hour radius?????

Hi Markus... I'm still checking new but I ran across some 2000 used ones with low miles..

Here's a 2000 SVT Black with 9,000 miles on it.. Near me also.. Well Markus.. Besides giving my friend a kick in the arse that he deserves.. He called today and told me that he could locate none in Ohio, PA,IN,IL,and KY. But he did mention that there are a few "rumoured" to be floating around in the extreme north.. But that's a long long journey my friend..lol Although his search is not 100% accurate as dealerships sometimes don't always list all their "old or leftover" inventory after the year end.. You might get lucky by calling SVT and asking them. 1-800-FORD-SVT ... That's the last bit of advice I have.. Now I just sit at work and stare at new WRX's all day...lol And they are good looking after they grow on you a little.

You might want to call Ricart Ford in Columbus, OH. My dad lives their and last year around April they had about 20+ Contour SVTs on the lot. They might still have some or even know where you can find a 2000 model. Here is the number:

That number is to service but I'm sure they can direct you over to sales. They deal in SVTS, Saleen, Rousch, you name it they've got it on the lot.
