Your '95 will never shift like a 2000. They have the cables and you have rod shift. Tranny cocktail helps, alot in the summer, and somewhat in the winter (here in Cleveland), but I still need to let the tranny warm up before it likes 2nd gear shifts in the winter. Some have done synthetic ATX fluid without fric. mod. I used it. You could also buy the new MTX fluid from Ford. It is gold in color. No need for the modifier in this fluid. It is expensive stuff though. Was about $15 a bottle. Try doing some searches on the newer MTX fluid. It hasn't been talked about in a while. The '00 probably had the new MTX fluid in it.
