They will not cover it under warr: because,I have put on SVT set up..No expections my car is not a SVT!!!! SO FORD SAYS, NO SH*****T
So will you order me a high flow cat and put it on?? How much will you need to do this?

Thanks Rick laugh

Hey Rick,

I'll check on the price of a hi-flow cat in the morning and installation.. It shouldn't be more than $150.00 Anyhow.. If you want to delete posts go into edit your post.. and there is a little box at the left hand corner to delete the message.. Just check that box and hit the edit button at the bottom.. Should take care of your problem.

Hey Rick... I did some thinking about this and I've got one question.. You have three cats in your exhaust system... Which one is bad?? The first two are in the exhaust manifolds and the third one is on the front y-pipe. I would check with Summit for a hi-flo convertor.. Our supplier is supposed to be stocking what they call "free flow" convertors.. But they haven't got them in yet.. So all I have now is the standard replacement cats.

BTW, If you stop at Summit and purchase a replacement cat (for the third cat) I'll install it.. (welded on) for about $40

Ok so how does one know which one is bad ? Is there a way to check?? Why are there three on this car? I have never had a car with three befor,Is this engine bad on emissions or what.. Any ways I don't want to hit and miss when it comes to money these things I'm sure are kinda costly right?
Not that money is a factor here!
I just don't want to be runing around smelling like a bad egg eek
Well I will call Summit for price and availabilty!!!!
Talk to you soon laugh

Ok Rick... The two front convertors are in the manifolds.. That means you have to replace the "Entire" manifold to replace the convertor.. Fun stuff. The bottom one is by itself.. and can be replaced seperately.. You could have the beginnings of a bad 02 sensor that is causing the rich smell (Rotten egg) after driving when warm.. Hard to say at this point... Let me know!

Ok here is what I found out, Summit wants 139.00 for the high flow 3rd cat: 10 to 20 days on a pre order, not bad I guess!!

If it is the 02 Sen: then I am looking at some diff: in getting the top one. No one has it in there warehouse, so they can't even order it. The price is 69.99 and the bottom one is avail: in stock for $64.99!!

Dom Can you get the 02 sen: for me and can you get a better price? When you get the high flow cats in the warehouse what will the price be on yours?

Do we really need three cats please advice

Thanks
Rick laugh

I'll check today as I'm cussing at my other car..(As I install an alternator in it...lol)... Do you have emissions testing where you live?? If not we can eliminate it.. I'll check on the sensors and get back to you later...
