hehe just stay off the computer/forums, and go interact with people for real (ie go play volleyball with an actual ball, net and players) you'll be fine.

Wait... I'm confused. Which team are you on? :p   Yes, these guys are dorks, but there are so many different people at college that you will meet. College is great because people can be whatever, or whoever they are, and still find people that wont judge them. They're dorks, but, hey, it's cool they're doing their own thing. I did my own thing in college, which was joining a frat, and getting drunk too many times during the week.

yep they are geeks at that school :-D (I know because my brother just graduated from there and is now in the graduate program there.)
