i have to disagree, even though when i drive thruogh SE DC for work i think it's bad, but the stuff on tv is no where near that nice. i don't consider the USA to be anywhere close to be in abject poverty. i'm no rich guy but i know i'm better off then 95% of the people in the world. i'm sure everyone on this website is better off then 95% of the people in the world. our "leaders" do build big houses but you can't compare our leaders (ie George W.) to those of other countries who kill women and children b/c they didn't dress right (ie bin Laden). everyone has their own opinion though.
my family is mostly military so my opinion is to nuke the sh*t out of them before they do it to us and then tap into the oil in alaska. forget the middle east oil, we need to be self supportive and stop relying on their oil just b/c nuts like Al Gore want to save a frogs habitat or a rare fern that isn't valuable for anything. IMO though
