I have no problem answering posts, but people need to keep up their end of the bargain. What does that in tale?
1) Peruse the different forums from time to time just to stay up to date with new developments, etc.
2) Yes, use the Search feature. Like was stated previously, it's there for a reason. It only takes a few seconds if you limit it to the appropriate forum (no sense in searching the National forum for the TH fix, is there?).
Regarding the ?newbies? issue. The first thing listed on the front page for contour.org is ?Read the FAQ, many of your questions will be answered here!?. Despite this, it is apparent that a significant number of people simply skip that crucial step and go strait to the forums, asking
"Is there any exhaust systems for my Contour?" , or
Does K&N make a filter for my car?? . Despite the redundancy, most get a brief answer to their statement, and a friendly reminder that their question has been answered in the FAQ already, and has been beaten to death in previous posts. Why do people get agitated about the redundant questions? Take a gander over
here and notice how any real ?tech? posts are buried under a mountain of inquires concerning ?Which gear is best for my GT/Cobra?, ?Should I get a Pro5.0 or Steeda shifter?, or ?Which exhaust setup will be loudest for my car??.
Regarding the issue at hand. If you?ve been here any decent amount of time (say?. a month), then you should really know better than to simply post a question without first bothering to search or even scroll down to the bottom of the page. Not doing so is arrogant and presumptuous. The whole ?I would like an opinion on what would be best for my car? excuse is pure BS. Show me why one car would require a different answer than the hundreds of other answers that have been given already.
I?m going to cut this short, as this topic is well past the point of being classified a ?dead horse?.
