With my opinion, I've been around Eibachs for as long as 10 yrs. They were one of the first companies to supply the lowered look to your vehicle. I went with Eibach because of being familiar with them .. Let alone they have a good 10yr warranty on thier springs. It took us 4hrs to install the springs.

Mike, I agree with you. If anyone gets upset with what you think is a heavily discussed question, then don't bother answering the person. they won't get any response and maybe decide to use the search function on their own. i didn't start this thread but i'm glad mr svt did. I learned that the eibachs give the car an even look as opposed to the h&r's which angle the car. based on this info when i'm ready for suspension upgrade i'll go with the gc coilovers w/ eibachs and likely konis. Unless i find out the bilstein pss9 suspension kit fits the contour. bilsteins website wasn't much help.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

i used the search function using "spring", "lower", "eibach", "h&r", etc. when trying to decide on a lowering spring and found plenty of threads discussing the look, feel and vs. stock, vs. each other to held me decide what i wanted to go with.
it's not like it's an obscure topic.
i saw mr. svt had not gotten a serious response, so i tried to answer the question raised and have a sense of humor. :p

The one guy is right I like to have group discussions. you think things on suspension dont change, fine............ then why the hell we even bother having any forums at all I mean hey the car has been around for how long......Maybe we should have no opitons to topic's , just the SEARCH, that would be great... you frckin idiots. I mean hey when was it you all had this discussion last, maybe some new memebers have joined in between that time and now , and with their open minds maybe they have more info to offer than you lame azz's

Why don't you go back and read all that worthless garbage you just wrote. Maybe then you will see how much stupider wha you just wrote sounds, compared to someone asking you to use the search feature. Lets break down your response, shall we? Originally posted by MR SVT: you think things on suspension dont change, fine............ Well, in this case, "No". The original question you posed has been asked a total of about 50 times in the past. Each time, the same answers. You were asking for opinions on drop kits. These opinions have been expressed in the past, and to my dismay, have not seemed to change. What makes you think they have? Maybe we should have no opitons to topic's , just the SEARCH, that would be great... you frckin idiots. Well, in that case, maybe we should make options just for people like you. If it were up to me, I would make it so people like you (the ones who do not use the search), would have to do at least 3 searches before they were allowed to post a new topic. Might not alleviate people like you from posting redundant questions, but it would sure help make you realize how many times the question you are about to ask has already been covered. I mean hey when was it you all had this discussion last Well, lets see....try this. Really...try this..it works...I swear. Hit the little search button up top, type in the word "springs" and watch it return 572 mayches. Surely it you answer must be in there somewhere. maybe some new memebers have joined in between that time and now , and with their open minds maybe they have more info to offer than you lame azz's I am sure they have, and I bet they will say the same things everyone else has. "H&R's sit higher in the back than Eibachs" and "Ground Controls are really nice if you want to lower your car that much" etc... Well, you have just joined the elite crowd of people that have flamed me for telling them to search. I hope you feel better about yourself and your stupid rebuttal. You have now proven to me and the rest if the people reading this post how smart you are. Way to go!! You are my hero...You are the wind beneat my wings you GOBBLER!!

I have to agree with Mike on this one. It is one thing to be upset with someone who doesn't use search... it is another to pubicly humiliate them. "Tact" is a concept that would be better employed in this situation T-Red. After all, this is not your forum, is it? The forum, in name, belongs to Lance, and in spirit, to all those unwashed masses out there that don't have any/much experience in modifications on contours, and which this forum represents a way to contact the experts on this car and get their opinions, experience and knowledge about our cars. Why then, are you so upset about a question that you have to rail the guy? You don't have anything at stake here, but he does (several hundred bucks). Really, you guys that have been around a long time should be flattered that these many people are asking your opinions and making multiple hundred (if not thousand!) dollar decisions based on your input! And the fact is that you don't have to post on the topics you dislike. Although search is a VERY useful feature (I use it all the time to clarify issues), the bottom line is just because someone is wanting other people's input but doesn't do it the way that other folk think is correct isn't reason enough to possibly destroy that someone's faith in CEG. That's the bully's way. How does your and other's flaming reflect on our hobby and the people that participate in it (more importantly, as a member of CEG, how does this type of flaming reflect on CEG)?
By the way, notice how there are a lot less posts lately...? Maybe things like this are the reason we have 3000+ members and only a few hundred that post.
I heed the call of the curb

Tact, huh? Guess our boy Mr. SVT showed a lot more tact than I did? Exactly. My post is quite civil, up until the end. I had every intention of shying away from being a jerk, untill It actually sunk in how much of one he was being. That is why my last sentance is what it is. I am going to motion that this post be closed before it turns into another pissing match of why people don't use the search feature....Brian, Chris, care to help me out on this one? We all know where this is headed.
