I searched long and hard for a tattoo design that would actually mean something to me later in life as well as look interesting and have some kind of astaehtic(sp?) value. I fell back on my Celtic heritage and found a very beautiful knot depicting the birds of an ancient Irish folk-tale within the knot. I love-it, both the knot, and the birds have "deep" symbolic meaning and it looks bada$$. My advice, look at your life and what things really matter to you, and then try to find art work that matches it.
