Yeah, it is a luxury vehicle. It was ~$28K back in 1990, which means it would be around ~$40K now, and it has about 185,000 miles on it, and EVERYTHING still works, load leveling still works, guages still work, air compressor still works, even the heated seats still work. And believe me, when theres a snowstorm outside, lock the rear wheels with the AWD-ON button, and theres no other car I'd rather be driving. No, its not the fastest thing in the world, but it rides like a dream, Lexus-like quietness inside, every feature you could dream of (even the side bolster wings on the seats are power opperated) basically, if the Bonneville SSEi was AWD, that's what this car would be. It was Pontiacs flagship in 1989, 1990, and 1991. You people think that the ConTiques are German, this car is MORE German oriented (and I quote that from the June/July 1989 Motor Trend Magazine cover story "Pontiac 6000 STE: GM takes German lessons". If you dont believe any of this, go to www.cars.com and read some reviews on these. They came out in 1982, AWD debuted in 1988, and were cancelled in 1991 because of low sales (around 32K in 1991). If you think that the basic 6000, and the 6000 STE (or S/E) are the same car, they were marketed differently. Just like the Mercury Grand Marquis, and Marauder. Theyre the same body, different car.
