I don't know if I can describe the song well enough to help, but the song is very Roy Orbison-esque...\
At the end of the song it has some Chris Isaak-like yodel sounds...
It's a damn catchy tune...

It's a "real" song...LOL
Acoustic guitar in the verses, then a little wilder in the chorus...not hardcore or anything....Kinda soft rocky...but it still kicks ass...

I believe the song is called "Laid" and the band is called James.

First verse is something like this:

"This bed is on fire
With passionate love
The neighbors complain about the noises above
But she only comes when she's on top"

Hope this helps. I know that this song has the "yodeling" at the end, so that's what leads me to believe this is it.

I think you've nailed it. Not exactly a top 40 band though. I don't think I've heard James on the radio in a long time.
