I don't even know what kind of school ysu is but you must have decided on the college 3 hours away for a reason. This is your life and your decision. Don't let someone else decide where you spend the next four years of your life. You might say I'm being insensitive but I wouldn't want you to spend the rest of your life regretting that decision. If you two are meant to be, it won't matter where you go to school. If you are not meant to be then you will be totally screwing yourself over by staying close just for her.

S.O.S. You're both too young, probably be lucky to make it to fall break. But give it a shot, worse thing that can happen is getting dumped, which is part of growing up, either way, you find out more about yourself, either you stay happy or learn a valuable lesson.

No need to flame you about this as I'm sure you hear it every single day[/b]I used to, but it's been 11 months now and my friends are used to it. Most people don't undertsand it and I think most people can't understand it, but then again, very few people understand me. Y'all can flame me all ya want if it makes you feel better or something, I know what's there and thats what matters. As a side note, my g/f is leaving for 11 months in Argentina in less than a month, so I do somewhat understand the anxiety over seperation, but true love conquers all, and if that's what you guys have, it will work, like Pac Man said.

You can try it. I did. And I only had a 2 hour distance with 3 years put into the relationship. After another year of college (we were both starting at different colleges) we broke up and like many here have said, I was angry that I had missed so many opportunities. Luckily the next 3 years as a single guy were great. Never go to a college because its close to a girl. Go where you want to go, or you'll regret that decision regardless of whether the relationship works out. Also, if she's only 15, I hate to say it, but she is probably going to be ready for new experiences by the time she goes to college. Don't work your life around her only to have it blow up in your face a few years down the road. If it is going to work, it'll work no matter what the distance.

Similar situation here although I would have to say that if you did care for this girl to begin with you wouldn't be mad that you 'missed opportunities.' I personally don't regret anything I did(and no I didn't cheat or break up with her for someone else)...if I did then it would seem like it was a waste of time for the whole relationship. If you care for her, try the distance thing and if it ends, it ends...at least you'll be able to look back at the fun you and her had. If I had it to do over, I'd probably do it the same way. And like others have been saying, if its meant to be, the distance thing will work itself out and be a non issue. Oh and I hate being single again.
