Don't worry about selling it...someone wants to buy it...good...if not don't lose sleep over it, you still get to drive a nice car in the morning.
Wrong the contour is far from a NICE car. That is why it is getting sold. I am down for a trade if you give me 14,999. Deal?

You might not think it's a nice car, but I do.

Sounds like there are certian aspects/problems of the car you don't know about. If I dont say so myself, I think Antonio would know more about the car than you. He drives it, lives with it, etc. You just look at it.

I do not own a modified SVT or an SVT at all for that matter so my point might be a little off target.

I decided a little while back that I won't bother selling my car, it's resale is so terrible I don't see any point. Plus nobody knows about it, and I am sure you know how nobody is familar with the SVT.

Antonio, what's your main beef with your car may I ask

antonio, i cant help but ask, but what intrigued u to buy the car in the first place? the svt contour is a nice car and build quality is about average. some seem to have no problems at all and others having nothing but a disaster, which is prolly understandable for ANY car. what has poor build quality on your car? i know u busted a fuel pump or something. something my dad has always said to me is, "The more u modify your car, the more likely you'll have a greater chance of having problems with it." as a result, youve bent a rim, your coilovers have broke, and maybe something else i dont know about. what im getting at is possibly the reason stuff has gone wrong is because of the modifications of your car. oh well, thats just my thoughts.

my recommendation: return it to stock and drive it for what it is. sell the mods and use that cash to buy a simpler, vintage car that takes modifications better.

i suggest an MGB! laugh

Your asking price is too high, that's why you're not selling it. Only way you're going to recoup any value is if you part out the car seperately and sell the car as stock. It's the only way I was able to sell my car and get what I wanted for it.

A 60K 99 SVT is worth around $10K or so.. List it for that in stock condition, and you'll probably sell the car. Then sell the rims, stereo, etc seperately, and you'll probably get another $3-4K if you're lucky. But the chances of finding someone willing to drop $14-15K for a car modded exactly as yours is done up is harder.

Honestly, given the current selling prices, I'd say your car is worth around $14K in it's current state.

i would have to agree. i have been looking for a 99 stock SVT and they are near impossible to find. it would go in a hot second. but selling a modded one is much harder. since alot of the people who buy the SVT might want to mod it themselves for the fun.

im doin a 100 on the highway... so if you do the speed limit get the f*** out of my way.

It doesnt help that it seems like everyone seems to be selling their cars and now new cars have ZERO % interest rates. Why used when new is cheaper. Now that the Tour's are getting to be 4-5 years old, people want out and the ones who buy a used $22k to start dont expect to pay $15k for one.

I thought about selling mine as well, the more I thought about what I have in it, I can guarantee I wont get it. Best is to part it out to the CEG Vultures (or atleast get a car with the SVT bolt pattern wink )

Another killer is cars are getting faster, new FSVT is close in times and aftermarket favors that car.
