And for all of you who are about to exclaim that your V1 or whatever warned you about a lidar trap, let me tell you that it didn't. What you got was a false signal. If you knew how lidar worked, you would agree with me.
Well, I agree it won't "warn" you but I have had it go off when I was being clocked by it. Only twice though, and I am sure I've been "shot" more than that.
I use a CB radio, too. Since Lidar is stationary at this point, most truckers will comment on the officer pointing his LIDAR at everyone. You can hear about speed traps 20 miles ahead.
Fortunately, age has slowed me down. I am usually not more than 8 MPH over and use the Detector more for amusement than protection. In my more exuberant youth, I came close to losing driving privileges in NY because of the point issue thing. Seemed NY doesn't like it's drivers accumulating lots of speeding tickets.
