Works easily out of the box, has some advanced features you can play with when you get comfortable with it, cheap.
I second that. I bought one. In addition, it has a built-in firewall (all routers do), and is small. It even comes with a manual all about networking - although you don't need to know much at all to set it up. Plug and play my friend.
I don't think you can get a hub without setting up one of the computers as a DHCP (or DCHP, whatever) server. Your only alternative with a hub is to pay extra for a second IP address. A router does all the work for you.
If you also want file/print sharing, a router would be the easiest way to do it. Until I recently formatted one computer, I had it working fine.
I don't know how old you are so I'll just include this bit of info ... if you're using this on a campus network, get a hub. I can't take my router to school, since it essentially creates its own network within the school network (not allowed). I have to buy a hub and pay for the extra address.
EDIT You bought a Belkin? I typed all this for nothing?
