Well, I have to go, my wife says I need to make dinner, and tidy up before she gets home.... .... ....DOH!...

My best advice to you is very open ended, and that is to do it whenever you see fit. From my experience a little waiting (a few weeks) works out quite well as most of my 'jumping into it' relationships were based on the sex :p

I also think it's possible for a guy to be a slut, and I really hate the guys that think they are all macho sleeping around and then want to marry some virgin fcuk you buddy!

Sex does not equal Love, never has and never will. Sex is purely of the flesh and love is Spiritual. Marriage is a Covenant with God and only after marriage is what happens in the bedroom sanctified.

My bottom line is Americans obsess way too much about sex. If you think it's a good idea to wait a few months before doing it, great, but don't call chicks hoes because they don't share your opinion.

Another way of looking at it is if you do it early on, you have it out of the way and it's no longer an issue. Then you can learn more about the person without sex being an issue at all.

I think uptight would be a better way to put it. Look at Europe. nuff said!

Do me a large favor and keep that to the "Jesus Saves" board. It is that type of blind following, weak minded garbage that makes people like me (have lived happily with Fiance' for five years) go postal. While I appreciate your opinion, I cannot allow you to 1st- turn this into a religous topic and 2nd- Claim that someone elses opinion that you read in a book, is actually an honest and thought out opinion.

Sometimes I wonder if we have a bunch of Christian Scientologists on board. Those people I feel sorry for and laugh at, at the same time. What a bunch of brain washed fools. :rolleyes:

I get flack for my views on this all the time, but my own experiences have given me all the ammunition I need to defuse many of the counterarguments I get...

I firmly believe in sex before marriage, as I firmly belive in teaching kids how to drink BEFORE the learn how to drive. Does this mean I condone pre-maritial free-for-all orgies and hard liquor binge parties before drinking age? Hell, NO!!! I do, however, think that there is valid experience and knowledge gained beforehand on both of these, as well as emotional maturity. Again, though, it totally depends on the maturity of the person involved. There is that group of people that are of the "addictive" type and take things way too far and to a very unhealthly level.

In terms of sex, how in the hell do you even know what trips your trigger unless you've tried a few flavors along the way? You test-drive cars, right? You shop around for clothes, right? You pick your friends carefully, no? Sex in no way should be the defining characteristic of marriage(it fades as you age, or so I'm told), but IT is a very important one that further solidifies that bond between two people. Knowledge is power, so it is said, and walking into a PERMANENT lifetime committment such as marriage without "kicking the tires" beforehand scares the heck out of me.

It seems to me that our culture has it backwards on a few things, mainly due to biblical principle. I am a Christian, though a flawed one and like I said, my above views have gotten me blacklisted and riddiculed by a number of other Christians and moral stalwarts that I know. As I wasn't put here to specifically judge and condemn people on their actions (though, apparently some were, it appears), I won't go into the moral argument of pre-marital sex one way or the other, apart to say be your own judge on what is best for you, though heed warnings and advice on both sides of the table and choose carefully before plunging in.

I merely speak from my own experience and speak from other failed and successful marriages that I've seen. I will admit that some of the happiest marriages I've seen have been virgin marriages. I've also seen a number of them end in divorce and strife, due to neither party being "fufilled" by the other.

I say "To each their own"... I would never condemn anyone for their opinions (provided that they are their own and not part of some large Brain-Wash).
I have done my tour and been around the block a few times. No, I am not proud or gloating, but I do not regret any of it. I had a great time getting to know some really cool people. I am in a really healthy and happy relationship now and wouldn't trade it for anything. I am of the belief that one must do what comes naturally and comfortably. As long as no one gets hurt (Physically and/or Emotionally) there is no "wrong way". Live life.
