I must have overstated myself, I apologize. I should be a bit more succinct. I should also add that it is a misnomer to think that no one has issues, as you have pointed out.
I am merely suggesting that for many persons, the quality of a relationship is largley dependant on their satisfaction with the intimacy component of a mature, adult relationship.
Based on this premise, it is difficult some persons to deterimine their level of compatibility and satsifaction with the other person until they are intimately involved.
Therefore, if one does not become intimately involved until they have invested a large deal of time and energy, and they are dissatisfied with the physical aspect of the relationship, it can lead to some unforseen emotional hardships for both persons.
