Panasonics have always been rated highly by Consumer Reports. I saw a Dateline/Consumer Reports test on cordless phones a while back when the gigahertz started coming out. They got a bunch of cordless phones and tested them for distance/reception in a straight line in a football parking lot. The gigahertz didn't do that much better and they cost too much for the little gain. Stick w/Panasonic.
