Okay, I get your point on features. That is why I have decided to add the auxilliary up/down or open/close outputs on the module. This way you can use them for whatever you want.
As far as the window's shutting off when something is stuck:

The motor on the windows and the moonroof have a circuit breaker on them. If the object (window/roof) are moving then the current flowing into the motor is lower and acceptable. If the object is stopped, the motor no longer turns and the current starts to peak towards a short in the motor because the resistance has dropped. This higher current spike is controlled by the circuit breaker. If the breaker is tripped, and you hold down the switch while still blocking the windows movement, then if will reactivate after the breaker cools down.
I use this circuit breaker feature of the motor into account with the timer of the module. I set the timer to run the relays just a little longer than the moonroof needs to close. When it reaches closed, the roof circuitry cuts it off. If that fails, then the breaker trips.

None of this is real important, suffice it to say that if you so choose to hook up something to the auxilliary outputs, then you can. Windows included. Just remember that when kids are concerned, that window is a lot stronger than it seems to you. I only make this point because I have two little children.

That is a good question though about the buttons on the fab. How will you get around this?

As for the safety concerns you have try this. Stick your hand in the window and roll it up. I know this doesn't sound very smart, but it's the only way that I can prove to you that it is not a safety conern. The window motors were designed to automatically shut off when they have a certain amount of 'backpressure' on them. However, I cannot speak for the sunroof because I have not 'tested' it, and really don't care to for that matter.

I guess what I'm saying in all this is that you should add as much content to your system as possible because that's what the customers (me and the rest of the people responding to you) want.

You can call me anything you like as long as it's nice.(all lies accepted)
