exactly what I just did.
just bought up baco's Zetec so I could use in the winter (also I've never driven MTX and wanted to have a car around that I could use all the time and keep in practice).
I was also looking into getting a Mercury Tracer (before getting the GL) cuz I hear they can take a good lickin' and keep on tickin'.
I still refuse to call the GL a beater though.
it's not a car I'd beat on, even if I was shopping for a beater type car before I bought it.
