Ok Guys,
A good buddy of mine who is a mechanical engineer owns both a 95 Windstar and an 80's Taurus with the 3.8L OHV engine. The power steering pump on both vehicles moans and creaks constantly and he's wondering if there's any known solution to the problem. Simply replacing the unit doesn't do the trick according to the local Autozone guys and others. It's apparently a common problem/defect. Figured someone right here might have experienced this problem and knows of a solution...PM me or post here if you know of a solution to this common noise problem with the power steering pumps...
