With the 12 valve VR6 already at a torque advantage to the Duratec, I would look out for a substantial increase on the 24 valve engine, shamelessly leaving all but the best 2.5 Duratecs in the dust... [[Frown]]
12V VR6 typically makes 145FWHP & about 155 tourque stock at the wheels. typical mods get them up to 155-160 HP max. Very similar to stock duratec. The engine in a light (2800 lb) GTi makes it equal to an SVT or faster but in a Jetta (3020 lbs) it a bit slower. Adding 30 HP and probably little or no torque, the gti will quite quick, the Jetta will equal to slightly faster than SVT. Be forewarned.
