This is misinformation pure and simple. It is orchestrated just as the phantom army composed of inflatable tanks lined up along the English coast baffled the Nazis prior to the D-Day Invasion. Trouble is, the US military doesn't even try anymore - too lazy I suppose. Just send out a press leak and hope the Iraqis take the bait. They won't.

It's a joke man, settle down. We've had an operational plan on taking all of Iraq's dirt well before Saddamn' even set foot in Kuwait. Iraq is not as stupid as you think, they are not concerned with stopping a invasion (more of taking what they owe us ), because they realize that it would be futile. Instead they direct their efforts to making it less profitable for us to have us them. Their priority is making sure that it would not be beneficial for us to take their dirt.

-Antonio Yeah but what if they had no idea that they were getting attacked? Why must Americans insist on knowing what is going on ALL the time? It is really not needed because with today's technology anybody can see what is going on anywhere, through satelite, internet, TV, etc. We announce it on Tv or radio or whatever they will be able to get it. Whatever happened to the sneak attack?

If we started raining bombs on Iraq, nobody there would be surprised. He's probably been telling his people that an attack is imminent since mid-September (or earlier). And he's probably right.

For real. There's no way that Saddam couldn't have known that we were at some point going to f him up. Just a matter of time.
To tell the truth even if we sent them a detailed Fedex package of documents explaining step by step exactly what we were going to do they still probably couldn't stop it. They just don't have the technology or weapons.
Iraq's only options are to conform to what we want them to do or try to sway world opinion to put pressure on us to leave them alone. In the end it really doesn't matter cause if they don't do what we want them to do they're going to get blasted.

Emm... interesting! Yeah, the news report said it'll consist of hundreds of warplanes targeting thousands of military targets; and the attacks will comes from land/air/sea by the Army/Navy/Air Force/Marine. That's got to be some REALLY sensitive information! Get real! Even a monkey can figure that so-called plan out without reading any confidential reports. I don't get why some of you people are getting so bent out of shape about this!

Still, to get back to the original topic heading, why are people (and I don't mean this personally, Steve, you're not the only person I've heard propose this over this story) so willing to call for taking away crucial Constitutional rights when it serves their purposes (like doing away with press freedom during an undeclared pseudo-"war")? Shall we also suspend the Second Amendment to prevent terrorists from purchasing weapons at Wal-Mart?
