Every non-leftist news report I have read clearly states that AAA fire was coming from the area.
It is not uncommon for the morons in that part of the world to hide weapons among civilians and use their asses for cover.
For example, our good friend Saddam likes to hide chemical weapons facilities next to schools. He also likes to place civilians in bunkers thinking a moral enemy (that would be us) would never purpously strike civilians.
My $$$ is on the pilot made the right call.
