I'm not saying we should go around killing innocent civilians.

However, the Afgans need to buy or rent a clue. Firing weapons into the air as part of a wedding or other celebration, while the US AirForce is looking for, say bands of people with automatic weapons, is probably not the smartest of activities.

I will offer this clue for free. Change your ways for a while and stop the celebratory "rock and roll" blasts with the Kalishnakovs(sic?) until you are told it's ok. This way, those muzzle flashes on the ground, and perhaps the tracer rounds won't be mistaken for AAA by some nervous pilots.
