Go PS2, then Xbox. Or you could be like me, and go with the Gamecube. I can't wait til Metroid Prime pops out, along with Zelda, Mario Sunshine, and Resident evil Zero. Right now, i'd take the xbox mainly for Halo.
summary: Xbox = power w/out games
PS2 = less power, with better games.
