If they could give us a turbocharged diesel w/ 300 hp and an 8 speed auto tranny, sure. Probably be too heavy, though.
Well the powerstroke might not be bad, although as you mentioned weight would be a problem, not to mention cost and size. In all reality a good 5 speed auto could probably work there with a tall final drive
