This is quite the case. The paradox of true wisdom is that the wise understand that they are not wise. Not because they measure their intellectual capacity against the standards of a deity but because they understand that the learning process never ceases with the freedom to question everything. Incontestable absolutes often invoked in religions promote a pale imitation of "wisdom" bestowed upon the most learned of religious scholars. That kind of "wisdom" is a white elephant so to speak.
