Yes there are tons of Contiques around here in VA, and a lot of SVTs, hell there are two CEGers in just the Fredricksburg area, then a couple or more in the Norfolk area, and bernie inbetween, and hopefully I will be addin to the list...
but...every MD road I ever drove on was pretty crappy compared to VA roads... we redo our roads very often.. especially where I am from in Central VA..
I have to say that NC roads are the worst that I have ever been on tho... not one road was in good condition, I think it has been at least 7yrs since they repaved the roads on the east side of NC... the only road that is new is on 58 just on the south boarder of 58..
