Maybe because they didn't give a clear reason as to why they were doing it and the backlash was too hot as you allude to. Kind of silly to begin with, I doubt anyone would have noticed they were selling that much to the government and they probably could have disputed their characterization as a "contractor." Then again I never saw the numbers to compare gov't revenue to the cost of complying (sp?) with the regulations. I hardly ever go there anyway... :rolleyes:
