You don't salute the flag? I salute out of military custom, not because I'm saying that my country comes before God. As for the pledge, I couldn't tell you the last time I said it, but I really don't remember anyone getting in trouble for refusing to say it in school. The way I see it, you could just pretend to say it if you were all that worried.
