Thanks for all of the replies first off since I am in the military as an officer I get a house so I have very little expenses. So I dont have to worry about getting a house for a long time. Second maybe I should just do exhaust and suspension and get another crotch rocket. Lets just say I dont go with the second option though what would the best mods be for my 99 SVT its warranty is up in January of this year so I dont care about that. So what will 6 thousand buy me? What would you all do in my shoes 99 svt 6 thousand to mod it.

Id get some new rims cuz mine are all fuked up. Then I'd get a S/C Just cuz i love how they sound, oh and they make your car get down that little 1/4 mile thingy faster

I'd let me build a low compression 3.0L with some cams and a turbo or nitrous kit.


How did the 3.0L get to be a 5,100 engine to build? I am pretty sure I can do it for much less.

$1500 Taurus block (date of Ford prod Jan 2001), with "prep"
$250 63mm TB
$250 Y-pipe
$250 shipping for all the above
$900 Quaife (NOW $600 )
$250 misc. BAT and shiping
$60 K&N
$300 (or so) from Mass.
$600 Bassani
$700 MTX-75 work (more than just quaife install - includes machine shop)
$150 oil pan baffle (and shipping)

So that's, uh, a lot. $5200 PLUS install labor. Drop $300 on Quaife price. A bit over $6k all told, but not far and a few things that can be deleted.

Can I Do the supercharger on a 99 svt someone said something about the returnless fuel lines or something. And will the bottum end or any part of the SVT not be able to handle the added HP? I think I am going to go this route I feel I will have the least down time with the car and the power numbers seem to be really good. I will just do Bassani Y pipe, Konis Eibachs and Vortech. What do you all think about this would I benefit from the quaife as well?
