God does not equal Christian, it equals spirituality.
There is nothig wrong the Pledge of Allegiance, or "In God We Trust" on money, or the mentioning of God in the constitution.
None of these references say a Christian God, just a God, which could be any God.
I personally think the Pledge of Allegiance should be required in school and Flag burning should be illegal.
It is not freedom of speech/expression, it is a sign of disrespect to the country and all those who faught/died for that flag.
If you believe in a god, you are not an atheist. Not sure what the dictionary definition is. Possibly Deist, or Agnostic. Maybe there ain't one...who knows.
Personally I'm somewhere between atheist and agnostic. All depends on the definition..since all definitions are broad statements anyways.
Of course there is no requirement to believe in god in order to be allegient to the country. And never will be.
