Yeah, what KJ said. I got a $20K bonus, and instead of wasting it on toys, I bought a house. Put 20% down, and still had enough left over for a kick-ass home theater w/ HDTV
At least the house will appreciate, and my mortgage is roughly what rent used to cost me, plus I get the tax break I so desperately needed. All things to consider.
If you've got $6K and nothing to do with it, at least invest it in something, be it a CD, mutual fund, or even 5% at the bank. You don't even have the SVT yet, enjoy it for what it is, and go the upgrade path when it no longer satisfies you. Regardless of which path you choose, you're not going to be rolling with M3s and Cobras, that's just not what our cars were meant to do.
