I just got back from the Oral Surgeon and got two teeth on the right side in the back pulled. One of them was doing something to my jaw and hurt it like he||, and the bottom one had been bothering me for years and had to go, so I got them both done at once. Now I'm sitting here with gauze in my mouth, basking in the numbness of Novacaine. That is, until it wears off

I must say though, getting those two pulled was quick! I've waiting for Chicken McNuggets in the drive through longer than it took me to get them both taken out!

Were they mullers? Were they in the far back? I have one giving me some greif on and off but im scared to see anyone about it, its liveable but want to get it taken care of. Ive never had teeth pulled. I heard if there mullers and in the rear they gotta like rip em outta bone or something. Or break them. Dont know if these are just horror stories or if its true. Let us know how the pain feels when it gets around, maybe ill stop being such a wuss and go see someone.

Ah, tooth surgery. Just had a titanium screw inserted last week above (what would have been) my front tooth. Gonna have a permanent implant done - it's three stages. I'm wearing a retainer right now with a fake tooth ... it's fun to take it out in front of people and watch them go !

You're lucky it was only pulling a couple of teeth. I've not only had problems with this front tooth (now gone) since 4th grade; I also had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out in 10th grade. I got to witness it firsthand - I opted not to be put to sleep for the procedure!

If it's anything like what I've had, the real pain comes the day after. Good luck! :p

EDIT: Madic, not to frighten you or anything... I'm only poking fun here. Getting teeth pulled is nothing. (I've survived a bone graft, root canal, wisdom teeth etc.)

When I got two of my wisdom teeth pulled I got a one week supply of narcotics!
Most relaxing week of my life!

I have had 16 teeth pulled: 10 baby teeth, 4 adult teeth, and 2 molars. Not fun. Just take lotsa Tylenol.

They sometimes gave me Tylenol-3, which has Codeine in it (a form of morphine). Works well, you feel kinda woozy from it too!

My wisdom teeth were coming down on top of my back teeth, so they had to yank those out. It was a pretty big procedure. When I got home and was still drugged like crazy, I was thinking "This isn't so bad", but that wore off in a hurry. I wish I could have saved the Codeine for another time.

I had to have my two canine baby's pulled and 2 holes about 2 inches in length drilled in the roof of my mouth and a chain attached to my permanent teeth to speed up the process of them coming in. Still have my wisdom teeth with no signs of them ever coming in. (Thank god for slow teeth). Pain wasn't so bad but I had some heavy duty painkillers

Had two left side wisdom teeth pulled while I was in the Navy. They didn't put you to sleep so I got to be awake for all the fun. Since they were impacted it was quite a show. I only wish they'd pulled the right side ones while they were in there. Now I've still got to get them done and I'm not looking forward to it. I'll probably have to take a week off from work too.
