If you like the original, you'll like the sequel. diddy kong racing is more colorful than mariokart, but they're basically the same; personally I like mariokart better.
XG2 is a fun, fast racing game but the learning curve is steep and you need a memory card. Oh yeah, Goldeneye was a really fun multiplayer game also, if you like first-person shooters.
