3.0L, definitely. Actually I'd go 3L and Quaife, since it's sooo cheap now *THANKS FOCUS** -lol
If you've already got some mods, chances are good that they'll work with the 3L, too. If you still need more power, save some more cash and get Hightower's turbo kit (hopefully). Keep those Taurus c-heads around, they may be good for something after all.
