On the contrary, I don't think they are trying to pretend they don't exsist. They are actively trying to educate people on moral issues. If anything, they are meeting the issues head-on. If the AFA wanted to pretend these issues didn't exist, they could just go crawl in a hole and cover their eyes/ears.
