I think your last point is your best, that parents should be involve with their kids and talk to them.

I don't think my kids will have a TV in their rooms to watch anything they can tune in.

I personally, harbor no hatred against many of the groups mentioned here. I do have a big problem with many of these messages being made that it is ok to be (fill in the blank)

I think it is wrong for those against (fill in the blank) to resort to violence.

However, I am more than troubled that TV seems to glamorize the alternative lifestyles, yet it seems to treat the hard working, conservative father as a baffoon.

Simply my opinion, I don't agree with the stereotypical view of the conservative held by the popular media (spelled Archie Bunker)

I'll have to revisit this, I can't seem to put my thoughts together right now. It is a difficult subject, as there are so many angles.

However, I do want to remind everyone that dissent is not hate.

Many stoop to the ad-homynm attack that if you don't agree with my POV, then you must hate me. Very much untrue. I don't always agree with you, but heck, I don't think you could characterize me as hateful.
