We would not have died unless it was pretty close to us. Apparently it is the same size of the Tukensga (sp) which exploded approximately 100 years ago leveling quite a bit of land.
more info 75,000 miles is DAMN close astronomically speaking. I wish that someone on Capitol Hill would realize the danger NEO's present and get off thier a$$es about it....
