I watched the game before going to class this morning.

WHAT A GAME!!!

The US was very respectable. The difference in penalties was the difference in the game, plus the Germans were able to simply out muscle the Americans.

Many exciting chances for the American team, and a great game to watch.

Why is soccer not popular in the US as a spectator sport?

It is not TV friendly. The game doesn't stop, except for a half. US TV is paid for largely by ad revenue. TV overseas is not always paid this way.

So kids play the game, but they don't stay attached because it not as available on TV
